Subject: Coronavirus and the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame Induction Celebration events
We regret to inform you that the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame is postponing its Induction celebration events. We are looking at alternative dates to reschedule the induction and hope, very much, that you will still be able to support, participate and celebrate the accomplishments of our exceptional inductee Class of 2020. Stand by for more details. Please inform all of your guests.
Our first priority is the safety of our guests, staff, and volunteers. Because our audiences and guest list is comprised of a large number of older people, we feel – given the escalation of panic and concern overnight – we must make this decision. No matter how badly each of us has wanted to be part of the biggest highlight in the lives of these extraordinary women, we cannot reasonably ask you to show up and share this momentous occasion at the risk of you and your guests’ health.
I want to commend our venues and all of our partners and vendors for their ‘above and beyond’ adherence to CDC and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment safety guidance to ensure us a safe and healthful experience at their sites. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 situation continues to rapidly evolve throughout the country making it very difficult to find a balance between panic and denial. We choose to err on the side of caution and safety.
CWHF is grateful for your support and hopeful that we will be together to celebrate the induction later this year.
Deborah Radman, CWHF Chair
